The Country Management Unit is seeking to recruit an Extended-Term Consultant (ETC) to provide support to raise the profile of IFC in the Maghreb with key partners, deepen dialogue with public and private sectors, facilitate the organization of high profile events and start the preparation of the WBG and FMI annual meeting that will take place in Marrakesh in November 2022.
The position is based in Rabat (Morocco).
Duties and Accountabilities
Under the supervision of the country manager, the ETC will provide support to the IFC Maghreb Program team to raise the profile of IFC and scale up its outreach and lead on event organization, in close coordination with colleagues from across the Vice-Presidency for Communications.
More specifically, the ETC will support knowledge management, event management and support to overall communication in close collaboration with communication VPU and other relevant units.
Specific role and responsibilities include : Knowledge Management
Strengthen IFC corporate profile in the Maghreb by developing new communication materials on IFC program in the Maghreb region
Identify key contacts and opportunities for strategic partnerships to scale up our communication and outreach efforts
Support the outreach efforts of the team by drafting relevant communication materials, multimedia content or products for various targeted audiences (Donors, DFIs, Government, Clients) which include brochures, briefings, talking points, video clips, newsletters, websites content)Event organization :
Lead the organization of high impact conference and Knowledge Management events in partnership with key partners to advance IFC program.
Events could be organized on-line or in-person.
Support the preparation of events and the organization of the IMF - WBG annual meeting that is scheduled to take place in Marrakesh in October 2022, and follow-up communication actions
Support the organization of high-level missions such as WBG VPs to raise their profile and impactSupport to overall communication
Public Information : Research, draft and edit communication materials (articles, press releases, human interest stories, fact sheets and others) for both traditional and modern, social media
Social media : Produce regular high-quality live social media content. Employ the latest social media tools and data-tracking instruments to measure performance of social media outreach and to analyze and report on it successfully.
Master’s degree either equivalent in Communication, International relations, Finance, Business, Law or Economics or equivalent professional qualification.
At least seven years of meaningful experience in event organization and marketing, communication including print and broadcast media, and digital media
Successful experience in corporate communication for the financial industry or International organizations would be a plus.
Consistent track record of driving engagement and setting up partnerships to prioritize events including on line events
Experienced knowledge of the latest social media trends in the Maghreb and successful track record in using mainstream social media
Excellent English and French language skills (verbal and written), including ability to draft a variety of correspondence and edit high quality materials following WBG style guidelines
Strong communicator, ability to convey ideas clearly and expertly with Clients.
Analytical mind able to analyze, collect and aggregate information from a variety of sources in order to distill and present data efficiently to internal and external clients.
Strong interpersonal skills, positive demeanor, and flexibility to work reliably in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment.
Results-oriented spirit, high degree of initiative and dedication to meeting time frames ; ability to produce high-quality while adopting stress resistance approach
Note : The selected candidate will be offered a one-year appointment, renewable for an additional one year, at the discretion of the World Bank Group, and subject to a lifetime maximum ET Appointment of two years.
If an ET appointment ends before a full year, it is considered as a full year toward the lifetime maximum. Former and current ET staff who have completed all or any portion of their second-year ET appointment are not eligible for future ET appointments.
