Role Summary :
Reporting to the Project Manager, he will be responsible for all delivery aspects of the project scope (planning and coordination) ensuring the maximum allocation of resources and that effective controls and procedures are in place on the site.
As a leader of this team, he will be required to create an environment for exceptional team performance to ensure team roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with the Project objectives and requirements.
What you will need to do :
Plan and coordinate all the construction activities to achieve the construction requirements, so to ensure the project will be completed to a high quality, according to schedule, budget and HSE standards.
Develop Construction Execution Plans, including constructability programmes
Coordinate the sub-contractors activities
Set HSE requirements and ensure their implementation
Liaise with engineering, procurement, logistics, project management and the various construction facilities with a view to supporting and optimising the overall site construction effort
Able to develop three (3) months lookahead schedules and report progress
Develop presentations to management
What you will need to have :
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum fifteen (15) years of work experience on large marine projects, working for a Tier 1 contractor is essential
At least two (2) successfully delivered EPC jetty projects, out of which one as a Construction Manager; otherwise, solid exposure to extended bridge or tunnelling projects, having worked with a Launcher.
Experience in open ocean jetty and trestle construction is essential and preferably in Atlantic Ocean
Experience in bridges
Experience in SLG (Launching Girders) construction
Proven exposure to marine construction activities such as piling, concreting and installations.
Demonstrated commitment to QHSE and knowledge of marine construction QHSE requirements
Demonstrated ability to develop Construction Execution Plans, including constructability programs.
Demonstrated ability to review Method Statements, including heavy lift and transportation studies.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams where innovative construction methods have been utilized.
Ability to develop three months lookahead schedules and report progress.
Demonstrable track record of on time delivery within budget combined with sub-contractor management, with a focus on contractual requirements.
Able to coordinate and influence engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to achieve construction requirements.
Excellent command (written and oral) of English language
