The Consultant will be part of a training team providing teacher training on secondary-level didactic learning of English and planning and management of English learning curricula in three regions of Morocco.
All training will be in French and may be online and / or in-person depending on health and travel considerations. Training activities will be implemented between January 2021 and March 2022.
The consultant will also provide support for training coordination and reporting.
Expected duration of assignment : approximately 75 days January March 2021 and an additional 75 days October December 2021
Your Background & Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in secondary education, pedagogy, andragogy, English learning or related field;
5+ years of experience in facilitating training courses for teachers or education administrators;
Experience in and / or knowledge of the Moroccan education system;
Experience organizing training sessions for adults;
Experience in didactic learning of English and / or planning and management of English learning;
Proven experience in remote and online training for adults;
Proactive and comfortable with contemporary digital platforms for collaboration and communication;
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills;
Skills in facilitation, communication, teamwork and meeting management required;
Speaking, reading and writing proficiency in English and French required;
Proficient in Microsoft office products;
Availability to travel internationally as needed.
Scope of Work
Provide design and co-facilitation (in pairs) of training on didactic learning of English and Planning and Management of English learning in compliance with professional ethics, maintaining respect and confidentiality with beneficiaries;
Coordinate with the members of the teaching team responsible for the training in each region and with IREX and the lead contractor;
Conduct trainings according to agreed-upon curricula and plans, motivating interaction between the participants;
Contextualize each training for the region and specific group of beneficiaries;
Work with stakeholders to ensure coordination between trainings and broader beneficiary support;
Write a report at the end of each training, in accordance with the project requirements;
Provide specific notes if necessary, at the request of the module coordinator;
Ensure that the administrative aspects of the training are respected (attendance list, reporting, etc.);
Provide recommendations for ongoing training adjustments, if necessary;
Participate in various organizational meetings at the request of the Head of Mission;
Maintain alignment with fundamental principles of the training project, in particular relating to gender and social inclusion, environmental and health issues, change management and innovation.
