Job Description Summary
You will be primarily responsible for managing specific geographies in, and key elements of, GE Healthcare’s compliance program in Northern Europe (NE) and France Belgium French Speaking Africa (FBFSA).
You will report to the existing Compliance Manager covering FBFSA and Northern Europe.
The Compliance program elements include but are not limited to compliance program execution and maintenance, improvement idea generation, risk identification, data / risk analysis and trending, and implementation of systems to comply with Loi Sapin II in France, the UK Bribery Act, and any new laws / regulations applicable (such as Industries Code of Conduct : Medical Devices and Pharma Codes).
Carry out activities to comply with applicable local laws such as Loi Sapin II in France and the UK Bribery Act.
Propose solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated day-to-day problems
Contribute towards strategy development and ensure smooth execution in the areas of responsibility.
Apply in-depth knowledge to assist in the development and execution of the monitoring program and audit schedules
Execute internal and external audits and monitoring activities as appropriate.
Deliver trainings and necessary communications to GE Healthcare Employees and external parties as needed
Provide informational guidance to people leaders and front-line teams. Provide policy clarification questions and offer guidance to employees;
escalate issues when necessary
Use professional judgment to analyze commercial deal risk and highlight higher risk situations. Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Contribute to the identification and analysis of emerging risks impacting the business (both within and outside the Annual Risk Assessment process) and corresponding action plans.
Promote a healthy Tone from the Top and Open Reporting environment. Support the GE Ombuds program as required
Support Legal, Compliance, HR and Ombuds, Investigations, Monitoring and Audit (OIMA) in investigating compliance concerns as required and provide corrective action recommendations
Be informed of any new legislation, changes in the existing legislation that may affect compliance program, including countries’ Industry Codes of Conduct in Medical Devices and Pharma.
Understand how own work integrates with other functions; contribute to best practice sharing among peers
Arrange and support relevant Compliance Review Boards and other leadership reviews as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
Post-secondary degree (such as Legal or Finance) or relevant industry experience
5+ years of relevant experience; preference in Compliance and / or internal audit
Awareness of the Loi Sapin II in France, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the U.K. Bribery Act
Competent influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others in straightforward situations
Demonstrated analytical thinking to execute policy / strategy and propose procedural improvement ideas
Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ethics and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, excellent interpersonal skills and personal accountability.
Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
Very good proficiency in French and English
Previous exposure to medical and pharmaceutical industry regulations
Expertise and demonstrated execution of programs to comply with Loi Sapin II in France and UK Bribery Act
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization (including sales, leadership, and Customers)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate information in an easy-to-understand manner
Knowledge and use of LEAN tools and a continuous improvement mindset
Global mindset, able to deal with people from all different backgrounds and cultures (experience with African cultures is a plus).
Additional languages (especially Nordic languages) is a plus
