Xylem Water Solutions SA seeks to appoint Sales Manager : Lab - Africa , to be established in Morocco.
Position Summary :
The Sales Manager is accountable for the profitable growth of the Africa Lab Business through increasing Analytics sales of all Xylem Analytics brands in the Lab vertical market as well as related markets, like Food, Beverage and Pharmaceuticals.
This position is accountable for contributing to, and providing advice on, the implementation of marketing and sales strategies to achieve the sales and budget objectives.
In achieving these objectives the Sales Manager is reliant on the support of staff within the Sales unit and Head Office and provides the leadership role for promoting the services of the Company both inwardly and outwardly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties :
Plans an aggressive sales campaign to ensure sales, profits and growth budgets are met within the area of responsibility.
Distribution management -drive Analytic Sales through the development of new channels and supporting existing ones.
Sales and Distribution support (seminars, technical meetings, trainings, demo installations)
Project support in bidding stage. (Quotations, demo, selection of right equipment)
Feedback to Xylem Analytics manufacturing companies on specific Middle East requirements on products and services.
Role with a large % of time spent travelling in the Africa region. Overseas trips 1-2 a year. During first 6 month more trips for training.
Performing product demonstrations, trainings and basic installations.
Liaising with Product managers overseas for the best customer support.
Organize sufficient service and application support, whenever needed.
Supporting solutions and application based sales
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or related.
Minimum five years sales experience in water industry
Basic knowledge of analytical technology.
Job history with one of the globally leading water companies is an advantage.
History with opinion leaders in the Middle East water industry

Additional Responsibilities :
40-60% of working time required to travel.
Participation in XYLEM sales and management meetings.
Support of XYLEM marketing activities ( product launch, trade shows)
Support of XYLEM reporting requirements ( Market data, statistics, market feedback on performance)
