Job Purpose

  • Lead in the delivery of an efficient and effective commercial EHS management system within Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt commercial organization to ensure compliance with local EHS legislation and GSK global EHS standards.
  • Facilitate regular commercial EHS council meeting joint by all North Africa to discuss EHS concerned areas, to prioritize actions;
  • to ensure appropriate resources and plans are in place.

  • Work closely with the local EHS Managers / POC to provide technical advice and ensure commercial EHS risk has been identified and mitigated properly.
  • Work closely with compliance officers to ensure commercial EHS risk has been identified and mitigated properly
  • Work closely with local EHS Managers / POC, WREF & landlord to ensure a safe infrastructure is in place within office environment of all offices in the region.
  • Proactively engage with leaders & employees in the region regularly & influence EHS agenda where appropriate.
  • Main Responsibilities :

  • Setting EHS objectives to align with regulatory GSK global EHS requirement and facilitate EHS council to accomplish commercial EHS objectives
  • Ensure EHS Commercial risks are managed, using the GSK Internal Control Framework model.
  • Lead EHS risk assessment and work with EHS Managers from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt in mitigation of EHS risks.
  • Establish, review and update commercial EHS policy and procedures in all Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt commercial organization.
  • Facilitate key commercial EHS programs implementation, such as Driver Safety & Ergo-point
  • Develop EHS training programs for all Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt commercial organizations and deliver EHS induction training for new employee induction program.
  • Coordinate regular EHS inspection and audit programs within all Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt commercial offices.
  • Facilitate EHS incidents investigation and responsible for EHS incident reporting to local authority and global EHS reporting system.
  • Liaison with GSK global and regional EHS&S network to learn and benchmark best EHS practice.
  • Knowledge / Education / Previous Experience Required :

  • University Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experiences on office EHS management or HR management.
  • Good computer skills and relevant software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customer service orientation.
  • Effective business skills to perform in a cross functional environmental.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and influencing abilities.
  • Proven ability to think and act strategically and engage in long term planning.
