This position supports the Regional CIO Africa with respect to improving the risk-return profile of Allianz Africa in close collaboration with our African entities and the Group.
The position holder covers the whole Investment Value Chain, mastering Asset Liability Management (ALM), portfolio management and investment operations.
Liability-driven investment management : Define Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) based on ALM analysis, available investment universe, regulatory restrictions and long-term market view.
Investment Strategy : Implement SAA in all African portfolios. Actively seek and develop new asset classes.
Asset management : Actively seek and analyze new investment opportunities. Closely monitor existing portfolios (e.g. credit analysis based on fundamentals), prepare recommendations for trading and ensure proper execution.
Investment accounting and reporting : Ensure proper accounting of all investment assets. Ensure proper reporting of investment portfolios into Group systems and to key stakeholders.
Investment risk : Further enhance investment risk framework and ensure compliance with investment limits.
Macroeconomics and capital markets : Keep track of macroeconomic developments and capital markets across Africa. Assess opportunities and risks, respectively.
Master in business administration, economics, mathematics or computer science, with major in finance;
7-10 years of experience in financial sector (esp. investment or management, insurance);
Quantitative skills in theory and practice, financial analytics, understanding of capital markets. CFA certification is a plus;
Strong communication and presentation skills. Networking-oriented;
Entrepreneurial spirit, pragmatic, results-oriented;
Knowhow of African economies and capital markets;
Fluent in English and French.
