The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is seeking applications from Moroccan nationals committed to the Rule of Law and the modernization of the justice sector for a Project Assistant position to support justice sector projects implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Justice of Morocco and funded by the U.
S. Department of State, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).
Major duties and responsibilities :
The Project Assistant will report to the Program Manager in Morocco. The position is full-time and based in Rabat, Morocco.
The Project Assistant will be an integral part of the team, assisting with a variety of tasks, including :
Assisting the team with project-related work in the areas of justice reform and management training.
Assisting with the organization of events such as workshops, seminars, and conference, including and not limited to event logistics, the preparation of agendas, printing of materials, and coordination with vendors.
Providing general administrative and accounting support to the Program Manager.
Drafting and editing memos, reports, and event materials in Arabic, French, and / or English.
Assisting with translation needs in Arabic, French, and / or English.
Attending meetings as assigned and drafting minutes and memos accordingly.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned the Program Manager and / or Home Office.
Candidate for the position should have the following minimum qualifications :
University degree (at least Bac+3) in Political Sciences, Law, International Relations or relevant field required.
At least three years of relevant work experience in project implementation support or administrative and accounting support.
Prior experience working with justice sector reforms or working in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and Liberties or courts preferred, but not required.
Prior experience with donor-funded reform programs preferred, but not required.
Prior experience supporting the organization of training programs preferred, but not required.
Strong organizational skills, rigorous attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities needed to perform effectively in a demanding position.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a team to support project objectives and priorities.
A diplomatic attitude and demonstrated professionalism to coordinate with technical consultants (Moroccan and foreign), interact with senior contacts, and work on high-level events.
Demonstrated commitment to ethics, transparency, and accountability in program implementation.
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint internet navigation, etc.).
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluency in Arabic, French, and English are required. Prior experience with translation preferred, but not required.
