Job Overview
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provides responsive support to the molding department production line to ensure the safe manufacture of quality products to meet on time delivery schedule
Povides molding input and best alternatives during part design reviews in order to improve molding part and tool manufacturability for development of new injection molded products.
Identifies root cause and implements corrective and preventive measures to improve or ensure product quality across product lines.
Identifies and leads projects to implement cost reduction strategies such as line flow improvements, process improvements, or part cost down activities.
Ensures that production molding concerns are reviewed and resolution provided during mold design reviews.
Supports NPI teams and works closely with Design Engineering and Project Management to smoothly transition new products to production.
Provides frequent and appropriate communications with all internal customers
Stays current on core competencies and best practices in manufacturing to ensure incorporation into new designs processes.
Ensures product documentation and manufacturing processes meet all TE Quality system requirements
Provides mentoring support to molding technicians and other molding personnel.
Identifies and researches new processes and equipment to support cost reduction or quality improvement. Designs and completes capability studies to ensure processes are capable
What your background should look like :
Requires an Engineer degree in plastic Materials or equivalent experience.
