BASF Maroc is seeking for a Crop Manager North Africa APE / SAN to join the Agricultural Solutions division.
The position is based in Casablanca Morocco and is under the supervison of the Maketing and Key account Manager, Agricultural Solutions North Africa APE / SAN
What you can expect
1. Strategic Responsibilities :
Lead the development and management of local portfolio roadmap for existing and new solutions across all key market segments and the incorporation of plans and outcomes in the overall Market Approach Strategy.
Develop various growth, defence, and maintenance portfolio strategies as well as full lifecycle management for all solutions in strategic crops
Manage the new product development and pre-launch marketing development process with Communication and Marketing Managers
Create and maintain business cases for development of new solutions / end-uses
In conjunction with the Communication Manager, define relevant portfolio priorities and objectives for the development of various campaign plans
2. Operational Responsibilities :
Responsible for the briefing process to the Communication Manager of requirements as per the portfolio plans
Support Sustainability projects in the region (#HAPI, Mobile Clinic)
Identify new market opportunities, collect opportunities identified by sales team and develop supporting business cases for new product developments, including the management of :
Requests for market studies from the sales team
Brief and compile sales team market research reports
Compile product business case file
Regular farm visits to ensure right BASF product positioning including a comparison with competition and market trend
Lead market intelligence including market trends and competition
Support Marketing Manager in building 10YFC planning
Coordinate with Technical team on trials required in terms of relevant development projects for both new product launches and label extensions on new crops
Coordinate with Technical team on building spray programs by crops and customers segments
Provide Portfolio knowledge-transfer training workshops when required to keep sales team constantly updated on product / crop knowledge
Maintain high standards in overall BASF compliance, anti-trust and business ethics
What we expect
Agricultural bachelor’s degree
Analytical & critical thinking
Min 5 years’ experience in Crop Protection industry
Good knowledge of Crop Protection Market and ability to design marketing strategies
Communication skills, including Fluency in French and ability to communicate in English
MS office suite
Knowledge of Marketing aspect and communication
Conceptual abilities and project coordination experience.
