What you'll be doing :

The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible for executing sourcing strategies through sourcing operations, supplier development and supplier performance management methods in order to deliver significant benefits to the organization.

He proactively drives the sourcing of materials and services in an efficient, professional and cost-effective manner in order to create and sustain a competitive advantage, thereby contributing to the maximization of company profitability.

Key responsibilities :

  • To provide overall ownership on implementation and execution of sourcing strategies for the assigned categories and ensure delivery of consistent and sustainable best value purchasing and supply for relevant commodities / categories, whilst ensuring alignment to Global Strategies;
  • Proactively manage in conjunction with business units and suppliers to identify new materials / products / services to be sourced;
  • Develop, maintain and manage relationship with Suppliers and ensure suppliers adhere to company policies
  • To be responsible for supporting the supplier management process and supplier performance evaluations in order to best manage the supplier base;
  • To maintain an accurate monthly and quarterly reporting on plans;
  • Participate actively in cross-category / geographical commodity teams to achieve cost optimization targets / value added targets, while maintaining supply reliability and delivery of the required innovation plan;
  • Work in conjunction with the cluster and global sourcing teams to ensure best practice with regard to respective commodity sourcing;
  • We'd love you to have :

  • A master’s degree in Economy, industrial engineer, administrative sciences or related field, or equivalent work experience of minimum 5 years in Procurement is required;
  • High degree of problem-solving and decision-making ability;
  • Skilled in evaluation, supplier selection, negotiations and strategic sourcing;
  • Strong negotiation skills,
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and adhere to highest ethical standards
  • Analytical thinking and good management skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
