WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a part of BCG’s GAMMA R team you will work closely with consulting teams and other stakeholders on a diverse range of advanced analytics topics.
You will have the opportunity to leverage analytical methodologies to deliver value to BCG's Consulting (case) teams and Practice Areas (domain) through providing analytics subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support.
You will collaborate with case teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support analytic solutions serving client needs.
You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant data analytics solutions and processes to build high quality and efficient analytic solutions.
You will work with global stakeholders such as Project / Case teams and clients and support by working in AP / EU / AM time zones during weekdays or weekends.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Rapid Business requirement gathering and Analysis
Working with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing advanced analytics solutions and BI tools
Collaborating with project team members in drafting prioritized business requirements documentation, including scope definition and statement of work
Managing team on projects while working with case teams, ensuring execution and being responsible for overall quality
Leading communication and managing workflow to ensure the case team’s satisfaction
Providing mentorship to your own / working (i.e., project) team members
Assisting on designing the onboarding schedule, & providing day to day apprenticeship & coaching for analysts with guidance from Analytics Expert, Team Manager
Being Involved in Analyst and Senior Analyst recruiting process where needed
Technical Skills :
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
Management of Spark clusters, with all included services various implementations of Spark preferred
Ability to solve ongoing issues with operating the cluster and optimize for efficiency
Understanding of prevalent cloud ecosystems and its associated services AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud. Expertise in at least one.
Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming
Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala
Identify, design and implement internal process improvements : automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
Ensure data quality and help in achieving data governance
Technology familiarity / Skills :
Hands-on experience in data modeling, ETL (Informatica, Talend) and data load strategy
Experience in working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, MongoDB)
Hands-on experience using PySpark for processing various data formats (JSON, Parquet) and exposing data for consumer endpoints
Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark or other similar framework
Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data’ data stores
Experience in Microsoft Azure (including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, ADLS, Databricks), AWS (including Kineses Firehose, Snowball, S3, Redshift, Glue) or Google Cloud Platform
Working knowledge of Airflow, Kafka and Jenkins
Sound knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell script)
Experience working in DevOps environments integrated with GIT for version control and CI / CD pipelines
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Undergraduate or Masters degree in a field linked to business analytics, statistics, economics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, or related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred
At least 6-8 years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solution in a commercial setting or around 4-6 years of consulting experience
YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will report to the Solution Delivery Manager GAMMA, and you will work with the case team, other Gamma groups and / or client technical POCs
