About This Job :
Astellas is currently hiring a Medical Manager to be based in Casablanca, Morocco. The role will be reporting directly into the Head of Medical Affairs, Maghreb.
Main Purpose of the Position :
The 1st level interface of medical affairs with Key External Experts and Healthcare Organizations (field / office work ratio is 60 / 40) to endorse company science-driven partnership and collaboration with medical communities and academic institutions.
Oversee / support Core Medical Plan execution and ensure implementation of MA strategies in his / her country(ies) of responsibilities
Share feedback and insights of external experts internally for enhance therapy area strategy development and planning process
Participate in MA strategies development based on countries needs and dynamics
Review and approve country promotional and non-promotional materials
Facilitate the processing of new research and oversee / manage in country ongoing research
Ensure medical compliance across the country and feed-in new related local regulations / requirements
Support medical training / updates to FF
Work in a multidisciplinary internal team to give Astellas products the best possible medical support;
Essential Knowledge & Experience :
Medically qualified personnel (MD or PhD). Medical doctor is an asset
Minimum 2 3 years experience in medical affairs position within the pharmaceutical industry
Previous experience in the country of responsibility is preferred;
Preferably knowledgeable within oncology. Experience in other therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas such as Urology, Haematology, Anti-infectives will also be looked at.
Scientifically credible, persuasive and able to integrate complex medical scientific information
Able to take ownership with pro-active attitude and ability to work independently;
Strong collaborative skills : able to work cross-functionally and with virtual teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relations with internal and external stakeholders.
English and French language skills are essential
