You will be responsible for a Purchasingportfolio within the Sanitary Business Unit, under the supervision of theSenior Buyer, and will implement a 2-

to 5-year strategy to optimizeperformance in terms of price, timeframe, quality and innovation.

You identify yourself as a true businesspartner with the R&D, Design and Marketing teams in order to best respondto the end customer, and you support company interests in your relationshipswith suppliers.

The mainresponsibilities of the position are as follows :

  • Conducttechnology and business intelligence for your portfolio so you can respond tocompany requirements and industry developments;
  • adapt your purchasing portfoliostrategy.

  • Benchmarkand evaluate existing and potential suppliers worldwide, in function ofquality, cost and volume objectives defined with BU management, via bids orsales appointments;
  • develop solid partnerships with suppliers.

  • Negotiate withsuppliers and set up contractual terms meeting objectives pre-defined withinternal teams in conjunction with Legal.
  • Monitor supplierperformance indexes monthly and implement improvement action plan if required;or intervene in case of claims with support from company departments such asLegal or Quality.
  • Manage yourPurchasing portfolio budget and report on your work to the BU management andyour manager.
  • Be in charge ofmonthly metrics updates (world raw material and cost of living prices, currencyparities, etc.) and ERP system data.
  • Skills / Requirements

  • Advanced degree inbusiness, management, economics or specialized in Purchasing; minimum 2 years’significant experience in the industry and / or internationally
  • You speak English fluentlyand have a good command of SAP or another ERP
  • You can work independently and know how toprioritize
  • You know how to defend your decisions and havegood negotiating skills
  • You are demanding with regard to the objectivesyou set
