About the project
TASHAROC is a three-year project based in Tangier and is funded by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office to support the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (TTAH) Regional Council (RC) in the regionalisation process through the provision of technical assistance to its regional government bodies and civil society.
In the final year of the programme, the activities will focus on maximising the tools and mechanisms created and adapt them to help respond to the COVID-19 socio-economic impacts. th Office.
About the role
In order strengthen the team, TASHAROC seeks to hire a Project Assistant to support the technical team as well as the Operations and Administrative team.
The Assistant should have a high level of fluency in speaking and writing in English, Arabic and French in order to draft / review documents in these languages.
Scope of work
In supporting the programme, the Project Assistant will :
Translate technical and other documents from and to English / French / Arabic
Quality review of all the project deliverables
Collect information from reports and documents relevant to the project
Develop and organise files in SharePoint
Update the TASHAROC team schedule on a weekly basis
Update the TASHAROC workplan
Prepare for meetings with experts, partners, etc
Take notes during events and draft the meeting minutes
Provide logistical support for experts
Prepare the documentation for experts
Follow up with suppliers and vendors
Scan and organise recruitment sheets
Map of other current development programmes with the RC, such as CSSP and identify areas of synergy
Collect information to update the Political Economy Analysis
Support the coordination of programme activities
Organise and updating the stakeholders’ database
Develop PPT presentations and graphic design
Develop a weekly press review
Any other tasks asked by the Team Leader or TASHAROC members
Project Assistant is a full-time position, reporting to the Deputy Team Leader.
The role will be based in Tanger, with frequent travel across the TTA region.
Qualifications and competenc
Undergraduate Degree in political science, international development, or a relevant subject
Excellent oral and written English, Arabic and French
6-month Experience / knowledge with international donor-funded development projects
Strong report writing skills
Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills
Solid organisational abilities
Administrative experience in a busy professional setting
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the complex dynamics of the Northern Region of Morocco
