Job Overview

In the function as Process Development Engineer you are part of the projekt teams for New Produkt Introduction (NPI). Main responsibility is the development of the needed manufacturing processes for the project / product.

The internal interfaces are Projectlead, Product Engineering (PE), Procurement, Cost Accounting and Quality. Contact external will be mainly manufacturing plants and / or suppliers.

The area of accountability includes the following :

  • Support for PE to optimize Design for manufacturing
  • Request for pilot tooling
  • Create concept for request for serial tooling and assembly in cooperation with the responsible team member
  • Configuration of the best possible processes and tools to create cost calculation for managment presentation / decision
  • Follow up of cost, timing and quality in NPI projects
  • Controll of progress steps during tool / equipment build phase (global supply base)
  • Provide samples and measurement report to PE for evaluation
  • Check of tool / equipment for release acc. Specification
  • What your background should look like :

  • Bachelor Engineering oder Foreman (Master) with appropriate work experience
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of tool and / or assembly construction, preferably in the field of plastic injection molding, stamping and assembly technology
  • Extensive understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Customer orientation and high level of commitment
  • Willingness to continuous improvements
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with a multicultural team
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in english, 3rd language as a plus
