As Head of Engagement youwill manage a team, you also will beresponsible to utilize all Offline media channels & Social media to driveconsumer adoption to Jumia.
Offline media channels willinclude TV, radio, out of home (billboards), print. Social media media willfocus on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google (ratings especially) as well asTwitter (potentially).
You will work across different functions to execute the offline and Social media marketing strategy and deliver plans in line with company strategy and objectives.
You will be especially involved during Jumia’s signature Tier 1 events - Black Friday, Jumia Anniversary etc - a key moment for customer acquisition and retention.
You will continuously drivethe brand forward by owning and executing activities of the highest quality, carefully balancing between budget and actual spending yet not compromising Jumia’s brand equity.
Your responsibilities will include
As anoffline expert :
Implement scientific management of our offline media plan process throughEnforcing systematic usageof metrics (GRP, repetition, frequency) for TV, RadioComparing plans incompetition and helping to select the best media agencyPiloting the work ofmonitoring agency (ensuring we receive the right number of spots at the agreedtime) Analyzing onlineperformance spikes and its correlation with offline marketing activity
Creative & Media Agencylead & management : Ensure we have the best inclass media planning & buyingCreate best practicesthrough different executionsEnsuring great quality of messaging addressing our consideration challenge ie simplicity & clarity
Participate to the strategy& planning transformational, semester-long initiatives
Asa Customer insights expert :
Define and execute the customer centric marketing approach of Jumia drive focus group, gather key data to provide marketing insight, execute brand health trackers with partners, etc
Implementation of anannual roadmap align with key stakeholders from localteam to define the roadmap / key battles & challenges for the collection of insights
Recommendation ofsuitable methodologies for each study request
Organization and execution of qualitative and quantitative studies Qualitativestudies : Recruitmentof participantsWritingquestionnairesModerationof Focus GroupsQuantitativestudies : Writingand uploading questionnairesExecutionmonitoringResults analysisPreparationof reportsReportsredaction with strategic recommendations
As a team Engagement manager :
Monitorimplementation and scale up Jumia influencer program - the cornerstone of ourinfluencer strategy Ensure growth on #vendors participating to the program Assess the qualityof the influencers and emulate the communityFrequently interactwith them to ensure they are excited to be part of the programDesign and implementtool to better monitor the impact of their posts on some performanceindicators Engagement levels ontheir posts, # app downloads, etc
Assess and improvethe quality of our posts Make checks on allour SoMe on a daily basis Provide guidance toensure posts generate the right level of engagement Be ahead of thecurve for all the viral trends Memes, challenges,reposts, news Share best practicesacross countries
Foster genuineuser-generated content - with a clear focus on YouTube Emulate ourfollowers and users so they frequently post content Promoteuser-generated content Create virality / give it visibility
Review Social Mediacomments Understand thedrivers & design actions to correct any negative trajectorySupport Jumia SoMeteam interacting with our followers and customers on a daily basis
Develop branding ofJumia as well as customer understanding Develop &execute long & short-term PR strategy to be aligned with country CEOvision, and building a sustainable relation with media, influencer & publicfiguresAct as BrandAmbassador by presenting & guarding the brand Contribute tobuilding the annual yearly marketing calendar with Online Marketing andcommercial teamManage frequentsurveys and focus group Manage & own theoffline marketing budget, ex budget split across different channels, and end ofmonth finance reportingSet specific KPIsfor each activity and evaluating its ROI
Develop Jumia talentpool by recruiting and managing team Setting their KPIs,and continuously develop positive spirit
Required Skills :
Desired Background and experience :
Master's degree in Marketing from top business schools and universities
More than 5 years of professional experience in offline marketing management, & customer knowledge
Outstandingunderstanding of e-marketing and delivery of business transformation
Evidence of workingto strict deadlines on multiple projects; independently or within a team
Coaching anddevelopment of members of the team
Expected personal skills :

Goodcommunicator and high emotional intelligence
Abilityto work under pressure with tight deadlines, being agile

English and Frenchspeaking.
