Job Summary : What will I be doing?

What will I be doing?

Develops strategies for forecasting and analyzing sales needs and developing effective product responses, delivery systems and methods of measuring and evaluating results.

Develops new and / or improved products to improve the competitiveness and maximize profitability; promotes marketing awareness and clearly communicates the marketing objectives to support the achievement of plans and sales goals.

Achieve business objectives in occupancy and revenue, both FIT individual guests and leisure groups. Managed segments are : Tour operators contracted, leisure Groups, Incentives, Tour series.

To contract FIT rates in timely and ensure all agreements are properly filed and communicated internally within the hotel.

To ensure allocations are in place, confirmed with the agencies accordingly and communicated internally within the hotel.

To ensure the contracts are accessible and properly filed with up to date information.

To prepare reports on allocation pick up and production, on monthly basis. Analyse statistics on weekly and monthly basis and implement actions, when need periods are identified or production of certain accounts has reduced.

Propose and implement sales actions for mid-term, long-term periods.

On monthly basis to gather market intelligence from the brochures, flyers and promo materials or tactical that tour operators and agencies launch in various markets in order to prepare comparative reports to the Director of Sales and to evaluate the rate positioning of the hotel vs competitors.

If needed, propose and implement relevant tactical.

To establish direct contact with all tour operators who have a contracted rate with the hotel, become their point of reference and to assist smooth communication between them and the hotel’s reservations department.

To monitor allocations, pick up and production. To facilitate availability requests of tour operators, when needed for the hotel.

To ensure that the production is steady and consistent.

To evaluate business opportunities in various geographical markets.

To organize and attend fam-trips and accompany decision-makers if required to get to know the hotel

To prepare, keep and update Account Files for any assigned accounts and to monitor productivity of accounts.

To interact with Global Sales head office. To strive to improve cooperation with them and their awareness of the hotel’s strategies and objectives, as well as need periods and / or peak periods.

To manage databases and activities with accounts. To regularly update account profiles.

To cross sell other sister properties and other segments of the hotel (food and beverage, meeting and events, corporate business travel accounts for residential purposes and meetings, apartments).

What are we looking for?

Applicants are required to have three to five years previous employment in a related position. Marketing or Hospitality Education is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience.

Knowledge of Spanish, English & French.
