We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven IT Director to oversee our IT business systems and hardware. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.
The successful candidate will have proven success managing all technology support aspects of a mid-size commercial business, including our ERP (JDE), LAN, legacy systems, mobility system support and management of help desk.
Duties of the IT Manager will include driving business process changes within the ERP system, working with functional managers to ensure their systems support the ongoing growth of the company.
The position will manage both internal and external support groups ensuring world class customer service, identifying system opportunities, and monitoring overall system activities and performance.
This position is based in our office and will provide IT support for our branches and HQ in Morocco.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage information technology and computer systems
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT operations
Supervise 2 IT employees. Help with training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
Lead the internal help desk to provide IT support to our employees in a timely and professional manner
Implement and follow systems, policies and procedures
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
Ongoing support to the internal controls for audit requirements and assess their outcomes
Preserve assets, information security and control structures
Trouble-shoots and solves problems related to hardware, software, and network problems
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
Manage vendors and recommends acquisition of services, network hardware and software
Build long term relationships with Otis management and outside vendors for IT related products and services
Documenting all activities in a clear and concise manner
Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience (minimum 5 years)
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware / software systems
Expertise in systems implementation and projects governance
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Preferred : BS in Computer Science, or similar field
Experience with the use of JDE is a plus
Experience in a service or elevator company is a plus
English fluent (minimum C1)
