We’reseeking a Legal Analyst / Legal Assistant, based in our Casablanca, MoroccoOffice . Inthis role, you will provide general and professional legal support to thein-

house lawyers and paralegals of Western Union responsible for Africa andelsewhere in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region as needed.

  • Draft legal and business communications and provideassistance to the Africa legal team with the review and drafting of any otherstraightforward contracts (ie.
  • confidentiality agreements) and legal documents.

  • Basic legal research and monitoring of laws, andgeneral file management. Legal research will typically cover such matters ascurrency and foreign exchange controls, anti-
  • money laundering detection andprevention, banking regulations, licensing and other regulatory and legalmatters.

  • Translation of legal and business documents in theFrench, English and Arabic languages, as well as provide general legaladministrative support to the Casablanca office and the MEA legal team.
  • Managing relationships and billing with lawfirms.
  • Work directly with internal clients and act as aliaison with outside counsel and may serve as a liaison between the commercial / operations teams and the MEA legal team.
  • Qualifications :

  • College or Universitydegree (BA-level, not necessarily in law) or any paralegal certification
  • 2 to 4 years of paralegal,legal assistant experience in an international law firm or in the legal orcompliance department of a multi-
  • national corporation handling day to day legalmatters, with emphasis on legal administrative work, legal research, basic draftingand legal translation

  • Previous backgroundin documentmanagement tasks and database development and maintenance
  • Fluencyin French, English and Arabic is mandatory
  • Clear,logical and well reasoned written and oral communication skills in the threeaforementioned languages.
  • Ableto draft and / or translate legal documents in French, English and Arabic withoutassistance
  • Abilityto conduct legal research and fact-gathering
  • Abilityto manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and to workindependently with limited supervision
  • Capableof routinely working with highly confidential and sensitive information
