Job Description

The Associate Manager North Africa - Stationery Brand will play a significant role in developing and implementing the Brand Marketing Plan, within the Company Guidelines to meet the category goals and ensure that both sales volume and profit goals are achieved / He or She :

  • Develops and executes ATL and BTL activities in North Africa to meet BIC’s Stationery objectives, within approved annual budget.
  • Analyzes and compares Stationery results vs. objectives to ensure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives (promotions, activations )
  • Monitors Stationery sales volumes, market conditions, market share trends and competitive data
  • Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Stationery Marketing Plans across NA countries in close collaboration with BIC extended teams.
  • Manage the marketing activities under his / her responsibilities which implies forward-thinking, execution, follow up and post-evaluation
  • Monitor brand performance to implement appropriate plan changes
  • Monitor the Stationery Marketing budget under his responsibility
  • Participate in various cross-functional teams Sales, Trade Marketing and externally with local support agencies such as Digital, Print and Activation agencies
  • Develop reports and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the market, competitors and consumers
  • Identify key issues, trends and opportunities to increase market share and creatively help in growing the business.
  • Support the brand communication / talk in digital and PR
  • Key Performance Indicators

  • Consumer and shopper understanding
  • Volume and Value Market shares, brand turnover and profitability.
  • Results of key Stationery marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
  • Meeting deadlines / Respecting timelines of Stationery Marketing Plans and their executions
  • Respect of the Stationery guidelines, MPD, brand DNA & identity
  • Continuous interaction with the Marketing team, local Sales team, CS & Finance teams
  • Qualifications

    Professional skills :

  • Market understanding, using consumer and shopper understanding and identify trends to build growth opportunities
  • Marketing Plan execution : brand audit, promotional campaigns and consumer events to build the brand shares and equity.
  • Ability to anticipate expectations, proactively taking the initiative when needed.
  • Strong monitoring, analytical thinking & aesthetics, being at ease with data visualization, always seeking ways to improve effectiveness of investments.
  • Deadline and result-driven, shows time management skills, self-motivation and autonomy.
  • Excellent project management skills, able to manage complexity
  • Working well in cross functional teams, both as a team player and a team leader
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office

  • Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Brand management / Consumer insights preferably in a FMCG environment
  • Business planning and implementation experience as well as project management.
  • Additional Information

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic, French and English
  • Sense of responsibility and commitment
