Position Description :

The Software Asset Management Consultant will be engaged with the end to end software lifecycle including : procurement, maintenance, and utilization of software applications.

The role will support the Software Asset Team in providing a global process across all regions.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

1.On an on-going basis, monitor specific compliance controls and report on non-compliance

2.Based on available reporting, support software compliance team investigate technical discrepancy scenarios such as virtual machines without host, unreachable database Instances, etc.

3.Maintenance of inventories of local software agreements, entitlements, proof of ownership and client’s responsibilities for licenses.

4.Support SBU / BU in the collection and monitoring of IT asset attributes information and update any discrepancy to reflect accurate picture in partnership with senior consultants.

Example : usage, location, role, etc., licensing information of those solutions (Oracle PAHRF, LASEU, OPN) and specific data such as Oracle database instance, OVM / OLVM hard partitioning, etc.

5.Assist with multiple tasks performed in CGI’s IT Asset Management solution (FNMS) such as; track devices life-cycle status, update device ownership, link new entitlements to solutions, create license exception (OPN, Client, others), create clusters, etc.

6.Monitoring, reporting and follow-up with members on Workstation’s software non-compliance

7.Provide assistance to the senior consultants in the support, consultation and follow up with SBU / BU on licensing exposure scenarios and potential licensing consumption inconsistency

8.Deliver reporting information on software / licence counts, metrics and usage, as well as provide input on non-complex terms that impact licensing

9.In support to the Software Compliance team, provide non-complex licensing guidance to internal team to facilitate access to licensing information (global and local rules)

10.Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and client focus

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

Essential :

  • First experience of working within ITIL aligned Service Management organisation
  • Excellent analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Clear and fluent English and French (both verbal and written)
  • Desirable :

  • ITIL foundation (minimum)
  • Flexera (will be considered an asset) training will be provided Supplier relationship experience
  • Competencies specific for this role (if different to the Atkins generic competencies listed below)
