The International Organization for Migration (IOM), created in 1951, is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration.
In Morocco, IOM implements projects of assistance to vulnerable migrants, strengthening the link between migration and development and assistance to marginalized youth with a view to preventing irregular migration from Morocco.
As part of the axis "assistance to migrants," IOM, with the support of the Finnish government, is implementing a regional project to support governments in managing migration by turning the emphasis on promoting health and wellbeing amongst migrants in transit in Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen.
In each of these target countries under the mentioned project, IOM has been implementing a variety of activities to help migrants with health needs, namely :
5) support to the government and civil society stakeholders to help the most vulnerable migrants (victims of trafficking, single mothers, unaccompanied minors, among others).
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Programmes, and in coordination with the Senior Programme Officer in IOM Morocco and the Regional Migration Health Specialist in the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa, the successful candidate will manage, coordinate and ensure the implementation of project activities with the missions in the countries concerned and effectively liaise with the donor.
In addition, the candidate will also be responsible to guide and consolidate the work of the missions in the context of COVID-19 and adjustment plans for the support to be given by the project towards the most vulnerable populations throughout the participating countries.
