The Pre-Sales Technical Specialist provides high level technical sales support to the sales team, customers and channel partners across French speaking Africa and Dom Com region.
This individual will understand the customer requirements, align and put them in scope with Epson’s product portfolio to provide solutions meeting and exceeding customer needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Engage with customers, channel partners and their technical representatives early in the sales cycle and throughout the sales process to understand their business needs and solution objectives.
In conjunction with the sales team, formulate a product / system proposal delivering more value to customers at better margins through optimally defined solutions.
Support the sales team and channel partners (system integrators, resellers etc.) in delivering projects at the customer locations.
Scope software / hardware requirements and desired outcomes, and work with relevant local and / or central teams deliver the required solution;
including maintaining a high level of communication across functional groups and managing milestones.
Engage in active communication with key end-users and partners (e.g. Independent Software Vendor’s, resellers), in-line with defined commercial requirements from the sales development group.
Support sales team and channel partners with product information, RFP’s, and updates in-line with launch.
Provide Technical Support expertise to sales exhibitions and events, either managed centrally or in-conjunction with the sales team.
Develop bespoke demonstration software / hardware documentation for sales departments.
Evaluate new products / software, identifying potential problems and provide input to Product Management team.
Co-ordinate the feed information and market intelligence to sales and Business Management to support the development of a balanced pipeline of opportunities for the business.
Key Skills and experience :
Educated to degree level and / or experience in technical service and support
Fluent in written & verbal French, Arabic and English. You should be able to evidence the ability to write technical documents & reports and attend international meetings.
Strong technical hardware & software knowledge on printing technologies
Experience in managing 3rd party service providers, ideally in IT or electronics sector
Previous experience in IT technologies as a technical support liaison within print / imaging / display industries is essential for the role.
Strong IT skills with high level of knowledge in Word / Excel
SAP knowledge preferred
