  • WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

    You will work in one of our EEMA offices as part of McKinsey’s crisis response function. You will collaborate closely with firm leaders and senior firm professionals, with the finance and risk functions, with firm function leaders, and with the IT-disruption recovery director and team.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    You will be responsible for establishing

    the strategy for enhancing the firm’s operational resilience and execute that

    strategy as part of the crisis function’s broader efforts to minimize the

    impact of disruptive events.

    In this role, you will facilitate effective collaboration across

    teams within risk, technology, legal, people, finance, and client service, as

    well as any cells operationally impacted by disruptive events. Also, you will

    advise and work with teams of senior current and former firm members and

    communicate and report key decisions, progress, and event status to them.

    During disruptive events, you will support

    teammates in crisis response, driving the execution of operational continuity

    and recovery strategies, providing integrative leadership, structure, guidance,

    and recommendations that enable a quick and appropriate operational response,

    and advise firm function leaders and teams on resilience best practices,

    continuity planning in the context of a global strategic consulting firm.

    You will also bring these function leaders

    and others together for frequent workshops and exercises to test operational

    resilience and recovery strategies in simulated environments, fostering a

    culture of continuous learning aligned with McKinsey & Company’s ways of

    working.

    You will develop an operational resilience

    center of excellence to set strategy and goals / objectives in close

    collaboration with firm functions and practices who are expected to endorse and

    integrate these resilience goals / objectives into their strategic plans.

    Additionally, you will support the crisis response function, helping to shape

    the firm’s response strategy through the application of significant expertise,

    development of practical operating models, playbooks, and supporting tools as

    they relate to crises of an operational nature.

    One of the key parts of your work will

    be setting the framework by which IT-DR receives prioritization guidance

    for technical resilience planning and work closely with the IT-DR team to

    ensure programs are closely aligned.
