You will be working as a Senior Service Engineer and will be the part of Motions Business Area for Service Division based in Casablanca, Morocco.

In this role you will be reporting to the Local Business Area Manager and will be responsible for executing medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

You will also responsible for deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers and in close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with group health, safety, and environmental directives, and ensuring instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results.
  • Assessing risks and safety hazards and implementing actions to ensuring people and equipment safety.

  • Performing medium to high complex service tasks like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrading and retrofitting, repairing independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.
  • for medium and low voltage frequency drives.

  • Acting as a service lead in high complex service work and trouble shooting and ensuring delivery according to the work instructions and in accordance with the ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to earn customer loyalty.

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing service work according to the customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with the customers and understanding their needs.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities and taking influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio.

  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, resourced, and supervised. Ensuring all field service team members are certified in line with the global certification and local regulations.
  • Reviewing competence levels to ensure each service engineer (including subcontractors) is appropriately qualified to handle the jobs assigned to them.

  • Driving continuous service productivity improvement activities in the assigned service team in collaboration with the operational excellence team.
  • Utilizing efficient tools (e.g. Mobile Service Assist (MSA)) to streamline service processes and applications to support the customer.

    Ensuring the transfer of service findings to the product / system local units for improvement of their offerings.

  • Providing assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary. Performing remote service assistance using remote connection and diagnostics tools.
  • Acting as the project technical leader in the service project by analyzing the project requirements and clarifying the project scope.
  • Ensuring the coordination of the other internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to the service needs.

  • Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in technical low and medium voltage drive service (commissioning, Installation, repairs, retrofits, upgrading ).
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English & Arabic language is a must. French language is a plus.
