Under the supervision of the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Housekeeper, and Assistant Director of Housekeeping, the Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms meet the highest standards as set by Four Seasons Hotels.
The Floor Supervisor also manages the Room Attendants on the floor and conducts inspections on a daily basis.
Conducts self in a professional manner at all times. Adheres to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.
Dresses in issued uniform and ensures a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times.
Reports to shift on time. Is aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notifies the Supervisor in adequate time.
Pick-up work assignments from the Housekeeping Department, and review for any questions. Report to assigned area(s) with required keys, equipment, supplies, etc.
Check with Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Housekeepers for the list of names of VIP and other guests and inform Room Attendants of the same.
Instruct the Room Attendants to greet as many guests as possible using their names.
Supervise the Room Attendants that have been assigned to the assigned work areas.
Pick-up pager / cell phone / radio and ensure correct working condition.
Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) checking standard of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and / or supplies. Report any problems to the Room Attendants.
Inspect all VIP and Special Attention rooms very carefully, ensuring that all special requests and amenities have been completed.
Check for maintenance work orders and complete the required report. Turn them to the Housekeeping Department.
Receive and complete all guest requests when on the floors, i.e. extra pillow, blankets.
Guide and train Room Attendants under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Housekeepers.
Supervise all housekeeping operations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures, i.e. special projects, general cleaning.
Conduct spot checks (while Room Attendants are working) and ensure proper procedures and steps are being taken. Follow up on all deficiencies.
Check to ensure that all Room Attendant return keys and sign out at the end of the shift.
Inform the Director of Housekeeping of any unusual events and communicate any special instructions to the P.M. Supervisor.
May be assigned other duties / responsibilities as required.
Responsible for all supplies in linen closets on the floors.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the floors, including linen closets.
Check for maintenance work orders and complete required report. Turn them to the Housekeeping Department.
