Job Description The purpose of this role is to develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that enhances the Novartis Pharma reputation, in line with corporate guidelines and in tune with local market conditions.
The strategies and programs should be targeted to external and internal audiences with a strong social media element and with patient inclusion as the cornerstone of our business.
Internally, the role focuses on providing communications councel and support to senior management, ensuring associate engagement, and increasing readiness in the areas of social media, product communications and patient relations.
Externally, the role focuses on building strong relationships with patients and patient organizations to improve outcomes, implementing and localizing global integrated patient-
inclusive product communications campaigns for launch and established products, and leveraging corporate initiatives and CSR activities.
Simultenaously full preparation for potential crisis & issues should be garanteed. The role will also focus on Strategic project assistance to the General Manager and support in their rollout and implementation.
To be successful in this role a strong collaboration with several internal stakeholders on a regional and country level across divisions is key.
Yearly integrated / aligned plans for brand communications, corporate communications, internal communications, social media, and patient relations.
Successful implementation of communications plans in close cooperation with key business partners. Identification, anticipation, and management of issues by working with appropriate functions and counsel management.
Profile country leadership team by sharing stories that bring our philosophy to win for patients to life. Strong and successful cross-
functional collaboration within the country and MENA region. Management of PR agencies and communications / patient relations budget.
Establish and drive patient relations strategies, manage relationships with local and regional patient organizations or initiate establishment of patient organizations.
Develop and lead disease patient advocacy initiatives aligned and integrated with key business partners (franchises, market access, medical affairs, and development).
Facilitate / support patient organization events and align expectations with common areas of interest focused on improving patient outcomes through a patient centric approach.
Incorporate the patient voice into the franchise / brand integrated product strategy as well as communications and social media plans.
Work with the Country Head on different strategic projects and leading their implemntation and follow up
Feedback from Country Head, Head Regional Communications MENA, and country leadership team. Outcome of strategies and programs for internal communications, product communications, patient relations, and social media, including management of potential issues.
Cross-functional collaboration and teamwork. Minimum requirements University degree (inc. marketing, communications, business, English) Fluent English, French and Arabic (oral / written) 5-
7 years of experience preferably in healthcare / pharma industry and or Non-Profit Organizations
