Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels.
They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain.
Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
The PLP Supply Chain Manager uses continuous improvement methodologies to diagnose waste and inefficiencies in the global end to end supply chain and leads initiatives to improve Key Performance Indicators.
These include, but are not limited to delivery performance, lead-time reduction and inventory optimisation. The PLP SCM should coordinate the S&OP supply review process and deliver input to the management business review.
Tasks and Responsibilities
What your background should look like :
Bachelor degree in Economics or Business Administration or equivalent
6+ years experience in Supply Chain / S&OP / Demand Management or related disciplines
Experience of working in the Industrial sector is a plus
Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
Continuous Improvement / Lean Management knowledge is a must
Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus
Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
Ability to oversee broad and complex end-to-end Supply Chain environment
Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP, IBP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
APICS Certification is a plus
Fluent in English, local language is a plus
