Job Description

For our new project in Moroocco, the Bank Of Africa Tower, we're looking for a a Contracts / commercial manager.

The Contracts / Commercial Manager is responsible for the contractual issues, between the different parties involved (Client,, Engineer, supplier, subcontractor, etc ).

He will systematically review and document all the contractual and commercial developments including, instructions as received from the Engineer, variation orders(incl logs) and claim handling of one or several projects.

The Contracts / Commercial Manager will manage the correspondence throughout the project and make recommendations as needed to arrive at a commercially sound end result.

He will review and complete subcontract and supply agreement. He is responsible for the timely submission of Interim Payment Certificates.

He will manage the quantity surveyors and ensure that all changes and variations are properly priced and submitted in time.

He will liaise with various departments, as well as communicating with the Client / Engineer and dealing with any problem / issues as they arise, in support of the Project Manager.

The Contracts / Commercial Manager will establish and maintain good client relations and ensure compliance with the Contract.

He will provide reports on status of open contracts.


  • Civil Engineer or Quantity Surveying back ground;
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience, including FIDIC contracts;
  • Experienced in leading commercial negotiations dealing with clients and suppliers / subcontractors;
  • Very good time management skills;
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Very good knowledge of both English and French.
