Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations.

They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Tasks :

  • Responsibility for projects in the various phases of the stage gate process (conception, design, validation and industrialisation)
  • Initiation of projects for new developments in cooperation with the product managers and, if necessary, also with sales and account managers.
  • Set-up of project timelines and milestones according to customer requirements
  • Conducting / initiating weekly project review meetings in the function of the Core Team Leader
  • Tracking of the project status and continuous monitoring of the project progress in order to initiate corrective measures at an early stage to meet the necessary deadlines.
  • Coordinate the Safe Launch and its associated activities.
  • Present the project status with regard to deadlines, project costs, business case and quality to senior management at regular intervals.
  • Initiate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordinate the Market Introduction.
  • Handling customer related issues such as presentations, samples and technical documents
  • Supporting the product and account managers with forecasts and market analyses
  • What your background should look like :

  • Studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar technical orientation
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management desirable
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is advantageous
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of 6sigma and TEOA
  • Very good analytical skills, team-oriented working style and leadership qualities in a matrix structure
  • Independent working style and assertiveness
  • Solution-oriented approach as well as strategic and tactical thinking skills
  • Good MS Office, basic knowledge of TE Project (MS-Project) and SAP would be desirable
  • Good communication skills - oral & written - in German and English complete your profile
