Business Operations is responsible for executing the order to invoice fulfilment process. The fulfilment process is a cross functional activity including customer service, order management, sourcing & procurement, logistics and SIOP.
Reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations, HBT META, the role of the Regional Business Operations Lead (RBOL) will directly support both HBT and SPS activities in the region.
The RBOL will lead the identification and implementation of effective and efficient ways to enable and fulfil the growth driven through the local sales teams.
The Honeywell supply chain is a global structure and a key part of the responsibility of the RBOL is to ensure that there is an effective interface between the local regional business and those functions directly responsible for fulfilling customer orders and to enable regional sales teams to be optimally customer focused.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Operating Fundamentals (20%)
Ensure alignment with local trading and regulatory requirements
Identify and maintain effective and efficient supply chain solutions for local markets in conjunction with HBT and SPS supply chain
Working closely with Group Real Estate and Facilities Management, ensure cost effective and practical facility solutions
Collaborate with internal service providers to ensure IT infrastructure and systems are aligned to local business requirements and consistent with divisional and corporate parameters
Leverage HSE organization to ensure performance to company and country requirements
Day to Day / Ongoing Operations (50%)
Collaborate with Customer Experience and Supply Chain functions to agree priorities and ensure supporting functions achieve business objectives
Proactively support Business Operations teams deliver on regional priorities through effective engagement in tier accountability process
Support regional teams in delivering realistic forecasts / projections to operations teams
Ensure effective resource planning in business operations teams is maintained to optimize performance and cost metrics
Provide regional subject matter expert support to Business Operations teams on local restrictions and enablers across process, customer and business understanding
Ensure sales and other functions providing inputs to Business Operations functions deliver on their accountabilities for quality and timely delivery, and maintain rigorous MOS to identify and address risks and opportunities directly connected to backlog conversion
Full ownership of Business Operations function within the Regional team
Be the customer’s advocate ensuring the customer’s experience is the focal point of decision making, prioritization and execution of Regional and Business Operations functions
Maintain effective scorecard of cross functional metrics and ensure corrective actions are executed to deliver on target
Issue Resolution and Escalations (20%)
Manage and resolve region specific escalations from business operations functions including Customer Service / order management and procurement & sourcing, logistics and supply planning
Manage and resolve region specific escalations from customers and internal stakeholders (including sales and business leaders) regarding performance and delivery issues involving business operations functions
Ensure timely, qualified escalation of issues to Director of Business Operations as required
Maintain an effective log of escalations to ensure a proactive follow up process and identify process and organization improvement opportunities.
Process & Continuous Improvement (10%)
Ensure current processes and working procedures are aligned to customer and business requirements
Proactively drive continuous improvement through identifying and implementing opportunities to improve core processes and standard work / SOPs
Maintain effective metrics, visual management and review processes to maintain and improve process performance
YOU MUST HAVE
Working knowledge / experience of relevant trading and regulatory processes and procedures in within the region
Working knowledge of customer service, order management and supply chain / fulfilment processes
5 years min experience of HBT, SPS or similar business operations
5 years leadership and management experience in business operations functions
Good command of English language
Experience of Honeywell Operating System (HOS) or similar operational and Continuous Improvement (CI) based methods.
Carry out daily tasks with a sense of urgency in line with the demands of Honeywell’s customer base
Ability to effectively manage multiple streams of activity concurrently
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, essential - including English plus dominant local language(s)
