About the Position

WWDF (World Wide Duty Free) Area Sales is looking for a competent sales manager who will join the team to oversee the sales operation of JTI products in North & West Africa geographic area.

Reporting to Regional Sales Manager UK, Ireland & Africa, you will lead the deployment of the business strategy within your area to maximize commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead effective implementation of sales, distribution, through-the-line marketing strategies including merchandising, shelf-
  • space, and promotional programs as defined by the Planning Group. Monitor progress, as well as the quality of materials used and recommends corrective action where necessary.

  • Perform field intelligence and data gathering through sales force automation tool provided.
  • Monitor executional KPI and report results to the Regional Sales Manager UK, Ireland & Africa including sales volume, pricing stock management and brand listings.
  • Act as a direct customer interface and trade relationship management.
  • Establish the area P&L, and financial forecast for the assigned territory.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager UK, Ireland & Africa and support functions, initiate / terminate 3rd party relationships (contracts) regarding in-
  • store promotional and advertising activities.

  • Develop and implement (key) account plans and agreements and monitor (key) accounts compliance in alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Execute and evaluate consumer and trade marketing programs.
  • Education and experience

  • University degree or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and distribution, channel management or field trade marketing. Experience in consumer and trade promotions management is a plus.
  • Knowledge and / or experience in Africa preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
  • Skilful handling of Microsoft Office
