We are looking for a Communication Manager to work on the Maghreb market and report to the Region Director Africa.
This person will be located in Morocco.
Main Purpose of the Job
The communication manager is in charge of the Communications function in the Market Company with guidance from the Communications Cluster Leader,
Defines the Market Company’s communications strategy.
Plan and budget to support the Market Company business priorities in alignment with Cluster communications strategy Wherever appropriate may have responsibility of multiple market companies.
Support in developing, implementing and maintaining a communications agenda that supports the company’s and the Cluster’s strategic Communications agenda.
Act as a member of the Cluster Comms team, aligning with other markets in the cluster as relevant to ensure consistent activation against the business’s strategic direction.
Develop and execute proactive plans and communications strategies for : A strong corporate & employer brand and image, and implement in the Cluster working with the Comms Managers in each Market Company.
A thorough understanding of company strategy, corporate culture and business understandings across the company which enhances morale and commitment among staff.
Identify legislative and regulatory opportunities and threats by developing and maintaining networks with government offices and policy makers.
Develop strategies and execution of direct lobbying on behalf of the company.
Drives implementation and plays an active role in carrying out communications activities in the MC as well as the cluster as requested.
Ensures consistent, coordinated approach to MC communications in line with agreed cluster communications strategy and priorities.
Manage the relationship with the selected network resources such as PR agencies, production agencies, etc..
Select and manage communications channel strategies which most effectively deliver against the defined communications objectives and manages implementation with both efficiency and proficiency.
Solid experience (8+ years) and a proven track record of success in government relations or marketing, either at Public Relations Agencies, advertising agency or multinational companies.
Ability to work across borders and participate fully in cross-country projects, as well as to plan and implement projects independently Crisis comms experience.
Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
Experience in developing and managing internal communication channels for geographically dispersed employees, strong cross-cultural awareness.
Degree in communications, marketing or related discipline...
Excellent command of English, French & Arabic.
Proven leadership skills; with a natural ability to motivate, inspire and engage others.
Strong knowledge of the communications technology landscape and new tools and techniques that drive improved engagement
Business minded, able to provide relevant and constructive input on the broader dimensions of the market strategy, activities and direction
Ability to travel 30% of the time
Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to anticipate future needs
