Position :

Customer Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer

Key responsibilities & authorities :

  • Employees’ awareness of their impact on product quality and the importance of their activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for
  • Act as the customer representative in the plant, with the main focus on quality matters
  • Promote and implement the Plant Quality Policy in order to achieve customer enthusiasm, protecting him from any defect.
  • Represent Customer voice in the Plant
  • Be the main contact between the Plant and Customer Plants & Customer Service Centers
  • Actively contribute to the achievements of 0km Plant Return & Warranty Quality objectives
  • Promote Nexteer Quality Culture and live to its requirements
  • Prepare and support Customer Audits, including but not limited to : Support 5S effectiveness on the line Support to verify consistency of documentation on the line Support to review PFMEA Pre audit before Customer visit to confirm application, execution and effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Attend Customer Quality meeting and team quality meetings in respective areas of responsibility
  • Participate in corporate and local 5WHY reviews
  • Participate in APQP activities for new programs
  • Actively work to maintain IATF certification in the areas of responsibility
  • Support PFMEA coordinator to maintain PFMEA summary update for CUSTOMER as required
  • Support processes regarding Plant & Warranty issues follow up Fast Response Inform plants about new complaints Make sure a containment checklist is issued or issue one once information about a complaint is issued Animate problem leaders, or be the leader, to prepare and issue 8D / 5-
  • why for each Customer Plant and Warranty group - according to specific agreement with Customer Centre Service Follow up issue resolution and share progress with Customer & Customer Team Work with and animate SQE / Purchased Part Coordinator regarding Tier 2 / Tier 3 / etc for problem resolution and corrective action implementation Make sure problems are looked across different value streams / production lines.

  • Support CUSTOMER special builds (Pre-series, prototypes, etc.) according to agreement with PPAP coordinator
  • Regular updates to required trackers and databases
  • Acknowledge and propagate within the company customer specific requirements (CSR), maintain and update CSR tracker on regular basis
  • To create interdisciplinary team to investigate every quality issue, includingproduction members, QE, ME, PE, SQE, etc.
  • To define and verify tasks for the team members
  • To evaluate if the actions are implemented in timely manner andreports are provided, escalate to management is necessary
  • To push quality first approach
  • Qualification required : I Education :

  • Engineering degree
  • Engineering degree
  • Fluent use of English (spoken and written)
  • II Experience :

  • Quality background min. 1 year, preferably in automotive industry
  • Practical knowledge of 5WHY, PPAP, 8D
  • Problem solving methods knowledge is a plus (Red X, Six Sigma)
  • III Skills / trainings :
  • MSA, GD&T
  • MSA, GD&T
  • High communication skills : written and verbal
  • Team work approach
  • Customer quality specific requirements knowledge (systems, standards, rating, other requirements) for customers that apply.
