according to a defined schedule of conditions.
To be responsible for securing and analyzing quotations and negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
To coordinate quality, engineering and price changes between company components and suppliers
Develops new, qualified supplier contacts
Prepares analytical reports and forecasts
Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts
Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers
Maintain and continuously evaluate supplier performance and escalate to Procurement when issues occur
Ensure compliance with customer requirements
Identify and implement cost reduction / productivity projects to meet the corporate initiatives / goals
Resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting
To adhere and be compliant to the policies and procedures in regards to quality, security / safety and environmental standards and strive to continuously improve processes
To ensure compliance with Federal-Mogul Quality and EHS policies, procedures and practices
To respect the environment and act consciously of environmental responsibilities
Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Supply chain management, purchasing and logistics, Textile or Mechanical Engineering Preferred
Beginner or 1 year of experience. Ideally in the Automotive sector
Strong combination of analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills
Knowledge of supplier processes and capabilities
