4 years Hotel Revenue Management experience in a luxury hotel environment.
University degree preferably in the area of business or hospitality.
Proven experience with total hotel profit optimization concepts, strategies, and processes.
Strategic analysis combined with ability to turn strategies to action.
Strong team-building, interpersonal and influencing skills essential.
Comfortable in discussion forums; able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly.
Independent analytical problem-solver.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Opera PMS, Excel (VBA), TARS CRS, EzRMS, GDS, and Extranets preferred.
Communicates effectively in French, both verbally and in writing. Position Overview :
Reporting to the General Manager, and part of the Executive Committee, apply your analytical and strategic planning strengths as Director of Revenue Management, where you will successfully balance inventory and demand for all hotel revenue streams to maximize total hotel profit opportunities for Novotel New York within the framework of the overall hotel strategy. Key Responsibilities :
Leads strategic planning and collaborates with all hotel profit generation teams to actively seek opportunities to drive incremental profit for Rooms, Banquets, Restaurants and other revenue streams.
Effectively communicates a compelling Total Hotel Profit Optimization vision to all relevant property leaders and leads efforts to grow RevPRO culture within the hotel.
Actively participates in the creation of the annual budget and marketing plan for the hotel.
Fosters strong relationships with the DOSM to strategically maximize Group business including function space utilization and Banquet F&B revenues.
Leverage Revenue Management analytics, technologies, processes, tools, and training programs to optimize hotel profits.
Collaborates with DOSM to create accurate short and long term forecasts, achieving forecast accuracy across all revenue streams including but not limited to rooms, banquets and catering.
Optimizes pricing, promotions, and availability strategies through definition and management of all rates, rate levels, stay restrictions and other tactics, which are congruent with demand factors to target the most profitable customer segments to maximize profits.
Monitors relevant economic, market, competitive set and hotel indicators to derive insight-led profit generation strategies.
Chairs and prepares materials for the weekly Revenue Management Meetings, following Brand guidelines.
Provides weekly, monthly, annual and ad-hoc reporting and presentations to hotel, regional, corporate and ownership stakeholders.
Fosters Total Hotel Profit Optimization culture and principles with all revenue generating departments at the hotel.
Directs and manages all channel distribution strategies and oversees content maintenance. Manages relationships with OTA partners, keeping up-to-date on each partner’s distribution options and extranet maintenance to ensure optimal display of the hotel.
Owns Revenue Management system and other reporting portals. Oversees data quality and flow, and maintains system hygiene.
Optimizes opportunities to drive incremental revenues through upsell programs in all booking channels.
Oversees content management in all electronic channels, liaises with hotel Marketing team to ensure regular updates of images and descriptions of hotel, room brands, outlets and services are completed.
Manages Reservations department including but not limited to recruitment, training / coaching efforts and evaluation of all team members.
Ensure training, implementation and compliance with Novotel Standards.
Effectively communicates with other hotel departments, regional and corporate staff.
Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote a positive image for the hotel and brand.
Ensures a clean and safe working environment in accordance to health regulations and the hotel’s health and safety program.
Adheres to all Brand Environmental policies and procedures.
