Position Details

Position Information Position Type Adjunct Faculty Track Non Tenure Position Title Integrative Learning Experience (ILE) Primary Advisor, Graduate Programs in Public Health Employment Status Part Time Months Campus Remote Description Integrative Learning Experience (ILE ) Primary Advisors are critical to the academic success of Master of Public Health (MPH ) students.

ILE Primary Advisors work closely with individual students and the ILE Lead Faculty to guide graduate students through the ILE proposal and support the quality of the culminating program project.

ILE Primary Advisors receive supervision and guidance from the Graduate Programs in Public Health leadership team. Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance to individual MPH students during the 1-credit planning process as they : + Develop ILE proposal, draft objectives, work through methods and / or approaches, and identify analytic framework(s).

Assist students with completing and submitting their IRB Exemption application, and supporting documents

Support individual MPH students during the ILE 3-credit course as they :

Define project methods, i.e. primary or secondary data collections

Conduct data analysis (i.e. create spreadsheets, statistical analyses, qualitative data transcribing and coding, experimenting with data visualization, etc.

Synthesize project findings

Develop recommendations / next steps

Edit and refine the final report and review public health competencies selection

Work through one round of draft revisions

Grade the final ILE paper Qualifications

Experience advising policy analysis, research, or program evaluation

Commitment to student success by being accessible and encouraging throughout the ILE process

Good project management skills

Interest in supporting possible student publication

Familiarity with Blackboard or common learning management system

Knowledge of the IRB process
