Furukawa Electric Morocco located in Tangier, a global manufacturer of fiber optics cable and apparatus, is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Morocco plant.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Rep. is the first line of contact with the customer, representing and establishing the customer’s perception of the company.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The CSR has primary responsibility for providing service to the customers before and after delivery of an order. The CSR is responsible for processing customer requests in a manner that provides consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.

The CSR will be based in our new facility in Tangier manufacturing cables and connectivity products based on optical fibers.

Our customers and colleagues are based globally though our focus areas are Africa, Middle East and Europe.

The CSR will work in SAP and other IT systems including Sales Force.

Responsibility includes, but is not limited to,

  • Receipt, check and processing of orders from start and till the product is delivered to the customer
  • working with technical, commercial and manufacturing colleagues locally and globally to process orders / quotes
  • arranging transport and all relevant documents needed for our global customer base
  • processing customer complaints
  • coordinating responses for quality requests
  • stock management and sourcing of products from sister companies globally
  • providing quotations to customers
  • providing product lead times
  • providing product information incl. technical data
  • Preparing and presenting business numbers and status both written and in conference calls / meetings
  • Follow up orders and transport
  • Calculating KPI’s OTD and OCC
  • To accomplish this, the CSR must be knowledgeable in OFS products, systems, and processes as well as internal logistics and business.

    The business includes both inter-company and externally transactions. International travel for meetings / training will be needed up to 3-4 weeks per year.

    Job Qualifications

    Experience Level : 1-2 years’ experience.

  • Communication skills Fluency in English and French written and spoken
  • Customer Service / Inside Sales / Sales or Business Admin experience
  • Working knowledge of internal transport and document requirements and making
  • Experience with Microsoft Office as well as ERP system
  • Able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Ability to self check and provide accurate information and documents
  • Open to work with customers and colleagues from different cultures
  • A relevant degree from university or business school and / or sufficient practical experience in relevant job
