Position Purpose :
The Area Manager (AM) is reporting and working very closely with the Sales Manager. The AM is the direct counterpart to the distributor's regional Manager.
He manages all aspects of coordination and collaboration with the distributor on the sales & distribution. He monitors stocks in coordination with JTI supply chain and distributor sales force.
He has to come up with action plans, and look for opportunities fitting the strategies and is also closely monitoring competition activities.
On top he is monitoring key accounts POS.
Counterpart to the distributor's regional manager : Area Manager manages own region
Supports & directs distributor salesforce in accomplishing and achieving route to market strategies and targets.
Coaches salesforce supervisors and sales representatives.
Manages along with distributor's salesforce distribution expansion through POS recruitments.
Coordinates & monitors closely with distributor, salesforce deployment & route to market, products distribution and availability.
Monitors listing and availability in key accounts.
Follows up on sales objectives, analysis and reporting.
Monitors stocks and volume evolution.
Executes and monitors implementation as well as assesses results.
Aligns & follows up on objectives & payment redemption.
Follows up with salesforce in objectives communication.
Works with Sales Analyst on objectives settings & communication to salesforce.
Gathers and disseminates accurate and timely market and intelligence information on JTI and competitors activities in order to contribute to timeliness and quality of decisions being made by management.
Performs programs and activations feedback through on-going analysis in order to contribute to timeliness and quality of decisions being made by management.
Travels extensively & regularly by car around own region including rural areas; role being in major part to be present throughout the region to ensure maximized deployment and execution and to establish a close contact with retailers-
Willing to move at a point of time to another region and another base.
Provides the sales manager with daily / weekly updates in regard to sales and market development / evolution as well as monthly sales and market situation analysis reports.
Qualifications and Experience :
Education : At least University degree or equivalent (Bac+ 4).
Work Experience : 6-8 years’ experience in trade marketing / sales & distribution / channel management / Implementation of consumers and trade marketing plans in FMCG industry.
Languages & Computer Skills : Fluent French and Arabic. English is a plus. Windows office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
